Our Mission

The mission of impactRichmond is to help repair the homes of those in need while helping participants and homeowners strengthen relationships with Christ and one another

We want to take Christ to our community by sending volunteer work crews to spend time with the elderly and less fortunate while providing home repair services. We do this by working closely with Senior Connections, the Capital Area Agency on Aging, to find homeowners whose homes need repair but are on a fixed budget.

We also want to provide a place where youth can experience meaningful worship by being the hands of Christ. We provide all of the tools that the students will need to complete their home improvement jobs, as well as a place for them to stay, and programmed evening activities.

about us

impactRichmond is a God sized dream that started in 2002 after a visit to The Pittsburgh Project. Dedicated volunteers committed to serving Christ began dreaming of a place where youth could come to Richmond and work on houses of the elderly and less fortunate. From this dream, we have been able to establish a community of youth that is the hands of Christ reaching out into a city the desperately needs help. While our programs only operate during the summer, the relationships developed here last through out the year.  Many of our work crews keep in contact with their homeowners and visit each other all year long.

God continues to bless us with outstanding volunteers and homeowners.  We pray that we will have open hearts to all that God has in store for impactRichmond so that we may continue to be His hands and His feet in the Metro Richmond area.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) private nonprofit organization. impactRichmond operates on a budget funded by community contributions and participant fees. Our budget expenses include building materials, all tools needed, food, insurance, promotional materials, and staff compensation.
