what can I do to help impactRichmond?

There are a number of ways that you can help impactRichmond. In the past three years we have had 500 volunteers work on over 30 houses. We hope to raise $50,000 for tools, materials, and salaries. We also provide all of the tools that our volunteers use. We welcome volunteers to help in every part of our organization as well.

volunteer

We will gladly accept volunteers. You may be able to help for a few hours or a few weeks; we will take whatever you want to give. There are a lot of jobs volunteers can do. Our head kitchen staffer, is always looking for volunteers to help in the kitchen or doing the shopping. If you can give a week and are handy, he would love to have you be a construction guru. The gurus are in charge of two to four worksites. If you have a day or two, he could use you to help pickup trash from the worksites and haul it to the dump, or go shopping in the evening to buy the next days' supplies. We also welcome people who can give a day and go work on a site with the youth. If you would like to volunteer in any way e-mail Kevin.

Financial Support

We welcome monetary donations. We are recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation by the Internal Revenue Service. This means that all money donated to impactRichmond is a tax write-off. As you consider a donation, please check with your workplace about matching funds.

tools & supplies

We want to be a desirable mission opportunity in Virginia, which means we would like to provide everything a group need to complete their project. We had a great deal of tools donated last year, and we had many gracious folks allow us to borrow tools as well. If you have tools that you would like to donate or let us borrow, please contact us.

Our greatest needs are drills that have a reverse function and ladders (both extention and step).

Check out our wish list online at Home Depot.We will provide you with a receipt so that you can write off tool donations on your taxes. Please e-mail Joe so that he might share our most pressing needs with you.

We are also looking for coorporate sponsers that can donate building and painting supplies. impactRichmond will be pursuing local businesses to partner with us to better the lives and homes of the people we serve
